In 2020 we commissioned Hannah Wright to run a fortnightly film club with young people, this film club resulted in the creation of a short film, Landed.
Landed is a short film written by a group of young people about their lived experiences of coming over to Scotland for the first time. In 2020, we commissioned Hannah Wright to run a fortnightly film club with young people. Landed is the culmination of that project.
We follow Ahmed’s journey and the reactions he receives from others as he arrives in a new country, makes himself a new home and life, finds friends, and immerses himself in Scottish culture.

Landed - Behind the Scenes
Zayn Samadi (Director of Photography) created this 'Behind the Scenes' film to give you insights into how the film was made. After completing his film course at Glasgow City College, Zayn Samadi is now a full time student for a Film and Television Studies MA at The University of Glasgow. He is a young freelance filmmaker having recently worked with The Barber on Channel 4. Landed was his first short film project as Director of Photography.
