We engage freelance artists to deliver our creative projects. We have a pool of artists we regularly work with at our Group Nights, and artists we engage on a shorter-term basis to deliver specific projects.
Current Artists
Dawn Coulshed
Dawn is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and music educator with over a decade of experience. With an MA in Jazz Voice from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, she specializes in working with diverse groups of all ages and abilities. Dawn excels in leading inclusive, creative workshops on performance, musicianship and songwriting, while also offering one-to-one tuition. She is passionate about fostering musical expression in all people and currently works with Paragon Music, Standing Tall Scotland and Big Noise.
Aga Paulina Młyńczak (They/Them)
Aga Paulina Młyńczak (b. Wrocław, PL) is a Glasgow-based multi-media artist and researcher. A graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, their work delves into the interplay between language and translation, using installations, participatory art, and camera to explore communication and community dynamics. As founder and co-director of 16 Collective (formerly 16 Nicholson Street Gallery), a non-profit curatorial initiative in Glasgow, she explores feminist and queer-centred approaches developing a public site commissioning programme. Their practice is international with recent work with ISSP (Riga), The Workers Museum (Copenhagen), Turning the Tide (pan-European), The Revelator (Glasgow), and Take me Somewhere Festival (Glasgow).
Shirin El Ghomari
Shirin is an illustrator specialising in animal art and creature design. She has a background in biology and enjoys deriving inspiration from the natural world for her subjects, real and imagined. She especially enjoys creating fantastical beasts with an air of believability and loves speculative evolution and designing alien creatures and ecologies. She enjoys teaching and often hosts a variety of art classes and workshops. In addition to working as an illustrator, she is also a freelance editor and offers scientific consultation for science-fiction and fantasy stories. When she’s not helping others with their creative works, she is focusing on her own writing and illustrative projects.
Robert Thomas James Mills
Robert is an artist, writer and time traveller from Glasgow. Robert’s practice is a personification of the cosmos as a celebration of all things. He is an advocate for breaking down barriers to experiencing contemporary art, creating workshops and events for various community groups promoting creativity. By starting with seemingly ordinary situations Robert’s work aims to transport audiences to new planes of existence through an interdisciplinary practice. The work will span time frames of the deep past and the hypothetical future with some projects having explored notions of ancient Scottish miracles, inter-dimensional octopuses and a walk which ended on Mars.

Mousa AlNana (He/Him)
Born in Syria and currently based in Scotland, Mousa began his artistic journey at a young age, studying arts in various schools and institutions. He is a multidisciplinary artist, working in painting, printmaking, graphic design, tattooing, and performance. Additionally, Mousa is a participatory and community engagement artist, collaborating with different organisations and diverse groups. His projects and participation extend across Syria, Egypt, Europe, and the UK.
Teri Bartolo
Teri Bartolo is an Australian artist and jeweller who has called Glasgow home since 2020. Her jewellery is deeply personal, inspired by the natural beauty of Australia’s beaches and the timeless allure of seaside treasures. Each piece she creates evokes the sensory joy of beachcombing, drawing from nostalgic childhood memories of collecting shells. With a love for the intricate craftsmanship of gold and silversmithing, Teri uses casting and fabrication techniques to bring her designs to life. Her work captures the tactile essence of the coast, blending artistry with her connection to nature and the seaside landscapes she cherishes.
Ursula Kam-Ling Cheng (MISS U)
Ursula is a visual artist based in Scotland, celebrated for her vibrant, joy-filled creations blending street and folk art. Her work spans murals and diverse illustrative mediums, intuitively combining colour and cuteness to reflect collective experiences. Passionate about socially engaged art, Ursula collaborates with communities to co-create works that amplify underrepresented voices and explore themes of ownership, culture, and heritage. Through her unique style, she transforms lived experiences into art, fostering connection and empowerment. By using art as a unifying tool, Ursula inspires dialogue and celebrates the shared cultural fabric of the spaces she engages with.
Ursula is Lead Artist on Standing Tall Scotland’s Refugee Festival 2025 project.
